Use Your Own Data to Improve Performance and Maximize Margins

Tuesday, January 31, 2023

8:00am-11:00am

“To achieve success, work is required. Suffering is optional.”

Jack Canfield, Author

This groundbreaking workshop is for owners and managers to best understand how to use data to improve performance and margins. The workshop isolates the data that is valuable, helps you better understand how to use it, and finally how to implement changes that directly improve the bottom line. The workshop will provide benchmarking information across landscape businesses of all sizes with a focus on the Midwest. It will isolate key performance indicators that can be reworked to improve profit. It will explore production – where the good data is captured and provide operational efficiencies across all levels. Lastly, it will dive into estimating so that no job walks out the door without the best possible margins in mind. Whether belts tighten, loosen, or stay the same in 2023, your business will be totally prepared.

With decades of experience spanning all aspects of the landscape industry—from spreading fertilizers to building budgets for multimillion dollar firms—Bryan has a passion for helping both people and companies succeed. Most recently he was the former Vice President of Customer Experience at Aspire before launching his own consulting business.

Three Key Takeaways:
1. A firm understanding of how your business compares to others on the national and local levels.
2. How to identify the key performance indicators that drive profit.
3. How to leverage those indicators to make more money with less inputs.

Understanding Burnout and Building Resilient Teams

Tuesday, January 31, 2023

11:30am-3:00pm

Stress and exhaustion are inevitable, burnout is not. This comprehensive 1/2 day workshop is for any individual, professional, or team dealing with professional burnout. iLandscape went to one of the country’s leading experts on this subject. Paula Davis JD, MAPP, is the Founder and CEO of the Stress & Resilience Institute, a training and consulting firm that partners with organizations to help them reduce burnout and build resilience at the team, leader, and organizational level.

She is the author of Beating Burnout at Work: Why Teams Hold the Secret to Well-Being & Resilience, which is about burnout prevention using a teams-based approach.

This lively and interactive workshop will cover these three themes:

  • THEME 1: Resilience & Teams Overview
  • THEME 2: Understanding Burnout
  • THEME 3: Building Psychological Safety (Trust among Teams)

It is recommended you bring AT LEAST one other person from your organization to bounce ideas and strategies off-of. However, the workshop is available to all who need a coping mechanism before we plunge into another busy season. Our businesses, colleagues, families, and mental health may depend on it!

Three Key Takeaways
1. How to identify the cycle of burnout and how to stop it dead in its tracks.
2. How to build a shared awareness in your organization to avoid burnout, conflict, and attrition.
3. How to increase trust and appreciation and leverage those during periods of high stress and exhaustion.
