COVID FAQ

COVID Frequently Asked Questions

Do not attend iLandscape if you are sick. Do not attend if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or a respiratory virus. Please refer to our cancellation policy if you are registered, but cannot attend. If you have a hardship exception, please contact anagy@ilca.net. These will be determined on a case by case basis.

Are masks required at iLandscape?
All individuals the age of 2 or over who can medically tolerate a face covering are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when in an indoor public place.

Who is responsible for enforcing the mask policy?
All attendees should follow the Order so that they can protect themselves, their families, and their communities from COVID-19. Local police and local health departments may utilize their traditional police powers and public health authority to address matters of non-compliance. ILCA/iLandscape employees and employees of the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel are not individually empowered to enforce the mandate.

Do I need to be vaccinated or show proof of vaccination to attend iLandscape?
In most cases, no. Proof of vaccination, due to Cook County Health Department guidelines, is required to dine in the Schaumburg Public House restaurant (formerly Sam and Harry’s). In addition, attendees at the Excellence in Landscape Awards Night on February 3rd will need to provide proof of vaccination. Excellence in Landscape Awards Night has dining and fixed seating which puts it under the Cook County Health Department guidelines.

Do I need to show proof of vaccination if I am staying at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel?
No, you do not need to present proof of vaccination if staying at the hotel. You will need to provide proof of vaccination for sit-down dining and to use the Fitness Center.

Do I have to show proof of vaccination every time I purchase or consume food?
No. The Renaissance hotel will have a table set up outside of the registration area throughout the show. At any time, you can present proof of vaccination and will obtain a purple wristband. Once you have a wristband, you can eat and drink anywhere in the facility throughout the show.

How can I consume food at iLandscape if I am unvaccinated?
The Cook County vaccine mandate covers food and beverage consumption. To avoid the mandate interfering with the show, the concession areas will be located outside of the exhibit halls. iLandscape is NOT in charge of food service. A county health official or Renaissance employee can enforce the restrictions on food and beverage for the unvaccinated. Due to expanded parking, dining offsite is now a possibility. There are dozens of restaurants around the facility that do carry-out. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes our unvaccinated guests, but is completely out of our control.

What constitutes proof of vaccine?
Printout of COVID-19 vaccination record or a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued by an authorized vaccine provider (e.g., the CDC vaccination card). Digital photos of vaccination card or record, downloaded vaccine record or vaccination certificate from official source (e.g., public health agency, government agency, or other authorized vaccine provider), or a mobile phone application that verifies proof of vaccination.

Can I virtually attend iLandscape 2022?
No. We will have recorded educational content, but nothing will be simulcast. The effort is being put towards holding a safe and memorable in-person experience. This recorded content will augment, but not replace in-person attendance.
